Teaching

Open, reproducible teaching material in bioinformatics and data science.

I build courses as web-first, version-controlled infrastructure: slides, notes and practicals from one source, published continuously, easy to maintain and update. This page collects that work and explains the approach behind it.

Courses

  • Bioinformatics
    Winter 2026/27 · first run
Sequence analysis, alignment, databases and hands-on practicals.
Tip

Every course’s practicals assume basic command-line competence. The Linux Crash Course covers it — public and free-standing rather than tied to one course, so it is worth starting before you are even enrolled.

Note

Course sites are password-protected, so the links above will ask for a login. It is distributed to enrolled students directly.
